It is a palustral plant, with small dark green leaves, rather thick, like a succulent plant.
Like other anubias, it can be attached to a decorative element but also planted in the substrate.
Anubia barteri Care
The young shoots are light green.
This plant sometimes blooms: below a small white flower similar to an arum.
Slow growth, it is prone to algae brushes, it should be placed in a shady place, rather in front of the tray. She lives in PH 6 to 9 and a temperature of 20 to 30 degrees. It multiplies after separation of the rhisome
Its very strong leaves make it a plant that can be placed in cichlid tanks that tend to devour tender plants.
Anubia Heterophilla
It is a rhizome plant. It has large leaves up to 40 cm long with a rather dark green. It requires a pH of 5.5 to 7.5 and a temperature of 20 ° to 30 °.
The leaves are tapered and slightly rounded down, they are a little streaked in relief.
It is a slow-growing plant, which is prone to algae if it is too exposed to light. It must therefore be placed in a shady place.
Like all anubias, it is best to tie it to a root or stone rather than bury it. Its reproduction is by division of the rhizome, but I have never practiced it.
